Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and MochaSkills. They’re written to be read, so they’re as short as we could make them.

Who we are

MochaSkills (mochaskills.com) is run by Raul Altarescu, a sole trader based in Dublin, Ireland. Purchases are made from Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which handles payment, VAT, invoices and refunds. You can reach us any time at [email protected]; a postal address is available on request.

What MochaSkills is

MochaSkills is a private place to talk to Mocha, an AI guide, about your career. Mocha helps you find roles that fit, build CVs and cover letters from your own story, prepare for interviews, find new prospects and run sales deals. Mocha is powered by AI, which means:

• Mocha can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it, especially facts about companies, pay and dates.
• Mocha gives guidance, not professional advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, tax, immigration or medical advice.
• We can’t promise you a job, an interview or a closed deal. That part is still yours.
• You decide what goes on your CV and what you send. Only send things that are true.
• Mocha only works from your real experience: what you tell it and what’s in your CV. It never invents jobs, results or qualifications, and it never impersonates you or anyone else.

Your account

You sign in with your email and a one-time code. You need to be at least 18 to use MochaSkills. One account per person; it’s yours alone, so don’t share it. Keep access to your email safe, because that is your key.

Your content is yours

Everything you put into MochaSkills stays yours: your CV, your conversations, My story, your notes, your deals. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the service for you, which includes sending it to the providers named in our Privacy policy. We never sell it, never show it to recruiters or employers, and never use it for advertising. You can delete any part of it, or your whole account, at any time.

Using it fairly

Please don’t:

• put other people’s personal details into MochaSkills without a good reason and their knowledge, or upload recordings of calls (notes and transcripts only);
• use it to deceive employers or clients, invent qualifications, or write anything unlawful or harassing;
• open extra accounts to collect more free perks, automate or scrape the service, or try to get around limits and spend caps;
• try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

Chat has fair-use limits. Free starts with two full weeks (up to 300 messages, your first CV and a 5-minute voice welcome), then has 30 messages a month. Fresh Roast has 600 messages and 15 voice minutes a month, Pro and Double Shot 1,000 messages and 60 voice minutes, plus 500 turns of sales roleplay by text. Paid plans allow up to 300 messages a day, Free 150. If you reach a limit, Mocha tells you, and everything you have made keeps working. On paid plans, counts reset each month on the day you first paid; on Free, on the 1st of each month.

When you start a paid plan or buy an extra, you ask us to start straight away. Using it begins the service, so the 14-day right to withdraw then works as set out in our Refunds policy. We keep a record of what was used (counts only, never content) to handle refunds, disputes and chargebacks fairly.

Plans and payment

MochaSkills is free to start. Paid plans (Fresh Roast, Pro and Double Shot), the CV pack, voice credits and Double Shot extras are listed with their prices on the Pricing page. Prices include VAT and are the same wherever you are.

Our order process is run by our online reseller Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record for all our orders. Dodo Payments handles payment, invoices, VAT and billing questions, and its own buyer terms apply to your purchase.

• Plans are monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel in one tap in Settings; you keep access until the end of the month you’ve paid for.
• You can pause instead of cancelling. Your story, conversations and roles stay safe while you’re paused.
• Monthly allowances (such as CVs or company checks) reset each month and don’t roll over. Voice credits and CV pack CVs don’t expire.
• If we ever change a price, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Refunds are covered by our Refund policy.

Double Shot and company data

Double Shot helps you find companies to sell to. It uses public company data from the official Romanian trade register (ONRC) and the Ministry of Finance, and public web pages and search results about those companies. We store company facts only, never directors, shareholders or other people from the registers.

• A contact person exists only if you type them in. They are private to you and deleted with your account.
• You are responsible for contacting people lawfully, including the rules on business emails and calls where you and they are. Don’t contact anyone who has asked you not to.
• Snapshots and deep dives are AI research from public sources and can be wrong or out of date. Check before you rely on them.
• “Are you also hiring?” is free and one-way: a job seeker sees your role and decides whether to share their details with you. We don’t promise any matches.

Seed to cup perks

As you use MochaSkills you earn beans and unlock perks. Perks are a thank-you, not something you buy: they have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and are earned on the plan you’re on at the time. Beans are only awarded for real activity; we may remove beans or perks gained through duplicate accounts or gaming the rules. We may adjust the perks over time, but we won’t take away a perk you’ve already earned and not used.

Things we may change

MochaSkills is new and will keep improving, so features may change or be removed. If a change makes a paid plan meaningfully worse, we’ll tell you first and you can cancel. If we update these terms, we’ll email you about any important change before it takes effect.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in Settings; that removes your data as described in the Privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we’ll warn you first and refund any unused period you paid for.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep MochaSkills running and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is and may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for decisions you make based on Mocha’s suggestions, or for indirect losses such as a missed opportunity. Our total liability to you is limited to what you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim. None of this limits your rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law, or our liability for anything that by law can’t be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of your own country’s consumer law and can bring a claim there.
